Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 01, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how THEONEHUMAN LTD (trading as OneHuman) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit https://www.theonehumanltd.com or use the onehumanapp mobile application. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which together form the complete picture of how we handle your data.

If you have questions, contact us at onehuman116@gmail.com.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owner about how the site is being used.

Similar technologies include web beacons (also called pixel tags or clear GIFs) — tiny invisible images embedded in web pages or emails that can tell us whether a page was viewed or an email was opened — and local storage, which works like cookies but stores data directly in your browser.

When we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we mean all of these similar technologies unless we say otherwise.

2. Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • To keep the site working — some cookies are essential for the website to function at all, such as keeping you logged in during a session
  • To understand how people use the site — analytics cookies help us see which pages are visited most, where users come from, and how they navigate the site, so we can improve it
  • To remember your preferences — functional cookies remember choices you make, such as language or display settings
  • To maintain security — certain cookies help us detect and prevent fraudulent activity and keep your account secure
We do not use cookies to serve you third-party advertisements, sell your data to advertisers, or track you across other websites for commercial profiling purposes. OneHuman products are ad-free.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

The cookies on our site fall into three categories:

Essential Cookies

These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually only set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or filling in a form.

Analytics Cookies

These help us understand how visitors interact with our site by collecting information anonymously. We use Vercel Analytics for this purpose — it is privacy-friendly by design and does not use third-party tracking or send data to Google.

Functional Cookies

These allow the site to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, personalised features such as staying logged in between visits.

The table below summarises the specific cookies in use:

We will update this table if we add new cookies in the future.

4. Third-Party Cookies and Services

Some of the third-party services we use may place their own cookies on your device. These services and their purposes are listed below. Each link goes to their own privacy or cookie information:

  • Vercel — website hosting and analytics. Privacy-first analytics with no cross-site tracking. Vercel Privacy Policy
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure hosting our backend. AWS Privacy Policy
  • Mailchimp — email marketing platform used to send waitlist and product update emails. May use web beacons in emails to track open rates. Mailchimp Privacy Policy
  • TextBelt — SMS delivery service for safety alerts. Does not use browser cookies. TextBelt
  • TestFlight — Apple's beta testing platform used for the onehumanapp beta. Governed by Apple's privacy policy. Apple Privacy Policy

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any advertising retargeting technologies on our website.

5. Cookies and the Mobile App

The onehumanapp mobile application does not use browser cookies — it is a native mobile application and does not run in a web browser. However, the app does collect and use similar types of data for its operation, including:

  • Device identifiers — your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer, used for app functionality and analytics
  • Session tokens — stored locally on your device to keep you logged in securely
  • Location data — collected only when you actively use the safety alert feature, with your explicit permission. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings
  • Push notification tokens — used to deliver safety alerts to your device. You can opt out of push notifications in your device settings, but this will disable the alert functionality of the app

Full details on what the app collects and why are in our Privacy Policy.

6. How to Control Cookies

You have several options to control or limit how cookies are used:

Browser settings

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Here are links to instructions for the most common browsers:

Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our website. Essential cookies in particular cannot be disabled without preventing the site from working correctly.

Opting out of analytics

Vercel Analytics is privacy-first and does not require opt-out — it does not track you across other websites and does not collect personally identifiable information. If you still wish to prevent any analytics data collection, you can disable JavaScript in your browser or use a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.

Email tracking

If you receive marketing emails from us via Mailchimp, those emails may contain web beacons that tell us whether the email was opened. You can prevent this by disabling image loading in your email client, or by unsubscribing from our marketing emails entirely using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

Mobile app permissions

You can control what data the onehumanapp collects by adjusting permissions in your device settings, including location access and push notifications. Go to Settings → Privacy → Location Services (iOS) or Settings → Apps → OneHuman → Permissions (Android).

7. Do-Not-Track Signals

Some browsers and mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature that you can activate to signal your preference not to be tracked online. At this time, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised, and we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals.

California law requires us to disclose how we respond to DNT signals. As noted above, we do not currently respond to them. If an industry standard is established that we are required to follow, we will update this policy accordingly.

As stated in our Privacy Policy, we do not sell your personal data or use it for cross-site advertising, which means the practical impact of DNT on your use of our Services is minimal.

8. US State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain US states including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others have specific rights regarding online tracking and cookies under their state privacy laws.

Under these laws, certain uses of tracking technologies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — even if no money changes hands. We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels, so this is unlikely to apply to our Services. However, if you wish to opt out of any data processing that could be considered a sale or share under applicable US state law, you can do so by:

We will respond to all valid requests in accordance with applicable law. For full details of your US state rights, see our Privacy Policy, Section 12.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our services. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

If we make significant changes — such as adding new types of cookies or third-party services — we will notify you more prominently, for example via a banner on the site or an email to registered users.
